i am staying with my grandparents for a few nights at their lake house. i do not know about you, but i absolutely love hearing stories of my grandparents past and learning about my family.  i assume that other people would find listening to such things boring, but learning about my family and where i come from helps me to only further my understanding of myself.  i am especially excited because prior to this recent conversation i had with my grandparents i had thought that i was four things; german, irish, armenian and scottish, a quarter of each.  however my grandparents told me i am english, french and swiss also.  i find it exciting and i cannot wait to learn more the diversity i find in all of the people surrounding me in my life is extraordinary and beautiful.  we all have our own heritages with different adventures, tragedies and tales; this is something to be extremely thankful for.  i am proud of who i am and where i have come from, and i am so blessed to have the incredible people who are in my life to learn from as well because their heritages are just as beautiful and unique as mine are.
